Milken Institute Looks to Grow Presence in Europe and the UK

LONDON -- The Milken Institute announced the appointment of Petra Freddi as Senior Director for Europe. Freddi’s relocation to London from Asia strengthens the Institute’s presence in the United Kingdom and continental Europe and the importance these locations have in shaping collaborative solutions that transcend borders. The decision also highlights the growing demand for philanthropy and technology collaborations in the region.

“The Milken Institute remains committed to using the power of capital markets to advance solutions to globally social and economic challenges,” said Richard Ditizio, president of the Milken Institute. “Given Petra’s successful track record in building our international presence in Asia, she is well-positioned to advance our work and strengthen our commitments to the European markets.”

Freddi has been with the Milken Institute for seven years and was instrumental in building the institute’s presence in the Asia Pacific region. During her time in Singapore, Freddi developed strategic partnerships to further the goals of the Institute, focused primarily on participation from institutional investors, philanthropists, family offices, and young leaders making a difference.

Established in 2015, the Milken Institute’s operations in London was tasked with gathering leaders and stakeholders in government and business to discuss critical issues affecting the area.

Freddi will continue to build on the Institute’s goals by facilitating and hosting intimate, impactful, and content-driven events that aim to address critical issues in the UK and in Europe.

“We are striving to make a tangible difference by gathering regional business and government leaders with great ideas and resources to help us build meaningful lives for all,” said Freddi. “With so much happening, there has never been a more urgent time to identify collaborative solutions. I look forward to proactively working with changemakers and key stakeholders to address the challenges within the region.”
