Changemakers

What is the power of philanthropy to disrupt the biomedical innovation ecosystem? That is the question that will be explored by the members of our nonprofit advisory council, Changemakers, which brings together chief executives of leading nonprofit, patient-driven, research-supporting organizations that share our mission of accelerating treatments and improving health.

Changemakers is a group of philanthropic innovators that:

  • Drive systems change in biomedical research and development (R&D) by serving as a future-focused force that advances more efficient, patient-centered biomedical R&D.
  • Catalyze collaboration on shared challenges by bringing stakeholders together to align, collaborate, and make measurable progress on the most pressing issues facing the biomedical community.
  • Generate and share actionable insights by synthesizing and sharing knowledge to help nonprofits and partners operate more effectively and accelerate impact.
  • Strengthen relationships across the ecosystem by acting as a platform for building meaningful connections and deepening collaboration across the biomedical R&D community.
  • Surface emerging issues and opportunities by providing a trusted forum to identify, assess, and elevate emerging trends and priorities that may warrant action by FasterCures and the field.

  • Engage as strategic partners in FasterCures and Milken Institute initiatives.

Members of Changemakers are recognized global leaders in biomedical innovation and lead high-profile not-for-profit organizations dedicated to accelerating treatments to patients globally. Changemakers can serve as a platform to identify and discuss potential areas of collaboration on topics of shared interest, such as:

  • redefining the role of philanthropic capital;
  • regulatory innovation;
  • health-care access and equity;
  • cross-disease research collaboration; and
  • leveraging new technologies and AI to advance research.
