The cost associated with chronic disease is estimated to reach $47 trillion worldwide by 2030. Diseases like diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and cancer continue to rank as the major causes of death and illness. Six in 10 Americans have at least one chronic condition, and 4 in 10 have two or more. The US is projected to see over 2 million new cases of cancer in 2025 alone. The promise of AI is a sign of hope, however. Image-based AI is already transforming radiology, enabling earlier detection of breast and skin malignancies. AI algorithms are training on huge data sets to accelerate diagnoses, streamline resource allocation, and improve health-care delivery. How can we harness AI effectively to identify malignancies earlier? What will AI’s role be in fueling medical advances and scaling innovation? This session will examine the power of artificial intelligence to transform the future of health, drive research and empower patients and caregivers with knowledge, insights, and agency to live longer and healthier lives.
