Gina Carithers

President and CEO, Prostate Cancer Foundation

Gina B. Carithers is an internationally recognized leader in healthcare marketing, communications, and business development. She has extensive experience building global brands and developing corporate strategies. In 2024, Gina was appointed President and CEO of the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF), advancing from her previous role as PCF's executive vice president & chief communications officer—a position she assumed in 2022 when PCF acquired Digital Science Press, Inc. (DSP) and its flagship platform, UroToday.com. As founder and chief executive officer of DSP, Carithers built UroToday into a global resource now serving 3 million urologists, clinical oncologists, and patients across 206 countries. Her deep healthcare expertise stems from extensive professional experience in the biopharmaceutical and life sciences sectors. Throughout her career, Gina has provided strategic consulting services to shape medical education programs for pharmaceutical companies including Chiron, Indevus and Novartis. Before establishing DSP and UroToday, Carithers held executive leadership positions at DuPont Pharmaceuticals. During her distinguished 20-year tenure there, she advanced through multiple management roles, culminating as executive vice president of the global virology franchise. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
