Resiliency and Regulation: State of the US Financial Markets and Institutions

The US economy has benefited from the resiliency of its financial system. However, the US just experienced its first bank failure of the year, and concerns about the health of large regional banks still linger after a string of failures last year. Record Treasury issuance and uncertainty about interest rates continue to test Treasury market liquidity. US public capital markets struggle to compete with private equity markets and international stock exchanges for new listings.
