Ambassador Karen Kornbluh served as ambassador to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, sitting on the governing board of the economic multilateral institution in Paris, where she spearheaded the first global Internet Policymaking Principles, led the effort to expand the organization’s membership, and launched the OECD Gender Initiative. Kornbluh previously served as deputy chief of staff at the Treasury Department and director of the Office of Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs at the Federal Communications Commission. She was policy director for Senator Barack Obama and the author of his 2008 platform.

Shikha Jain is a senior director on the Business and Program Development team at the Milken Institute.  She has more than 20 years of mission-driven fundraising and relationship management experience.

Madeline Lieberberg is a director on the Business & Program Development team at the Milken Institute. She is responsible for managing strategic partners and sponsors engaging in the Institute’s conferences and programs. Based in New York, Lieberberg cultivates the Milken Institute network through year-round programs and events including the Hamptons Dialogues and South Florida Dialogues.

Mike Milken, chairman of the Milken Institute, has been at the forefront of successful initiatives in medical research, education, public health and access to capital for more than four decades. Fortune called him “The Man Who Changed Medicine” and Forbes listed him among “Visionaries Reimagining Our Children’s Future.”

Jenna Spear is an associate director on the business and program development team at the Milken Institute. Spear oversees fundraising strategies for MI Finance and fosters relationships with strategic partners and sponsors of all major Milken Institute convenings, including the Institute’s flagship event, Global Conference.

Kara Whelply is an associate director on the Science Philanthropy Accelerator for Research and Collaboration (SPARC) team at Milken Institute Strategic Philanthropy. She leverages her expertise in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, philanthropic funding, and therapeutic development to advise individual philanthropists and nonprofit organizations on methods to advance their mission and accelerate the development of treatments.

Caitlin MacLean is a managing director on the innovative finance team at the Milken Institute. She oversees the research, development, execution, and follow-up of our Financial Innovations Labs, which promote financial solutions to overcome economic and social challenges.

Adoma Addo is a senior associate on the Environmental and Social Innovation team at Milken Institute Strategic Philanthropy. With her passion for innovation and sustainable development in emerging markets, she supports work on the Institute’s innovation competitions.

Erin Ross is a director on the Science Philanthropy Accelerator for Research and Collaboration (SPARC) team at the Milken Institute Strategic Philanthropy. She applies her expertise in health systems, analyzing scientific evidence's role in health policy implementation and identifying ways the scientific and policy communities can collaborate.

Nadia Penrod,PhD, is an associate director on the Science Philanthropy Accelerator for Research and Collaboration (SPARC) team at Milken Institute Strategic Philanthropy. In this role, she leverages her expertise as an interdisciplinary scientist in biomedicine and informatics to identify high-impact opportunities for philanthropic investment that promote science for the public good and have the potential to transform health.
