
Rachel Inman
Rachel Inman is a Senior Associate on the Feeding Change team at the Milken Institute. Prior to joining the Milken Institute, she spent two years with USDA Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) as a program analyst and Presidential Management Fellow. Rachel supported the policymaking, regulatory, and programmatic activities for 3 federal child nutrition assistance programs, notably earning a 2024 Food, Nutrition, and Consumer Services Under Secretary’s Honor Award for her work on the publication and implementation of a final rule that updated child nutrition standards. Additionally, she supported the development of the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2025-2030 and implementation of the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2020-2025. As a Presidential Management Fellow, she completed over 180 hours of training on strategic thinking, interpersonal skills, communication, leveraging diversity, and leading people with fellows across all federal agencies. Rachel completed her Master of Science (MS) in nutrition and dietetics and dietetic internship with a concentration in nutrition policy. During her degree, her research work included evaluating state food policy initiatives and developing implementation tools to assess the effectiveness of school wellness policies. Her work with Temple resulted in a publication, Bridging the Gap in Policy Implementation through a Health Equity Lens: Insights from a 2-Year Study on Measurement Development. Prior, she worked as a legal assistant for White and Case LLP, supporting the Antitrust trial team. She holds an MS in nutrition and dietetics from Drexel University, a BA in public policy and government from Dartmouth College, and is a registered dietitian.
