Pathways to Strategic Philanthropy

Philanthropy Leadership Collective

Overview

Milken Institute Philanthropy has established the Philanthropy Leadership Collective (PLC), a collection of active learning communities that emphasize peer engagement and create a forum for sustained funder connections. The PLC convenes affinity groups for leaders who share specific interest areas or preferences for funding models, combining strengths and resources to achieve a vision of a better world.

Participating funders can mobilize talent, technology, and resources to maximize the impact of their own projects. Members of PLC affinity groups convene virtually and at Milken Institute flagship events, including Global Conference, the Future of Health Summit, and other regional summits and convenings.

PLC Affinity Groups

The SPARC Philanthropy Leadership Collective (SPARC PLC) is an active learning community that connects science and health funders who share similar interests, creating a forum for community-building and fostering an interdisciplinary network so that individual impact can be amplified. The SPARC PLC is comprised of family principals and executive-level philanthropy leadership interested in science and health philanthropy.

Our Corporate Philanthropy Leadership Collective is a community focused on the issues facing corporate philanthropy leaders. Following a thorough landscape assessment and publication of current strategies and challenges facing this audience, we are continuing to convene leaders to explore the unique opportunities and nuances of working at the interface of philanthropy and business.
