Henry Childs II is the Chairman and President of BCF Capital and the Founder of the Minority Wealth Commission. Prior to founding the Commission, Mr. Childs was the National Director for the U.S. Department of Commerce Minority Business Development Agency. MBDA is the only federal government agency solely dedicated to the growth of the 8 million minority-owned businesses. Under Director Childs’ leadership, MBDA’s investments resulted in $4.7 billion in financing and contracts for minority firms. Mr. Childs also served as the Head of the United States Delegation to the Working Party at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. In his role as US Delegate to the OECD, Mr. Childs led the United States’ policy agenda for Small and Medium-sized enterprises and pushed for increased investment in artificial intelligence and new technologies. Mr. Childs also served as the policy advisor to the White House Office of Public Affairs, where he led the White House’s African-American outreach, and co-led the White House’s urban revitalization agenda. Mr. Childs holds a Juris Doctorate from Saint Louis University School of Law and a graduate certificate in International and Comparative Law.
