Ainslie Tisdale

Associate Director, FasterCures, Milken Institute Health

Ainslie Tisdale is an associate director with the FasterCures team of Milken Institute Health. She currently supports FasterCures’ nonprofit capacity-building portfolio, which includes the Research Acceleration and Innovation Network, LeadersLink, and the Rare As One Mentorship Program, as well as FasterCures’ patient engagement work. 

Previously, Tisdale served as a Health Specialist at the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences at the National Institutes of Health, where she led initiatives in rare disease research, data science, and stakeholder engagement. In this role, she developed and managed the Impact of Rare Diseases on Patients and Healthcare Systems program and facilitated strategic collaborations with federal agencies, academic institutions, and patient advocacy groups.

She organized high-impact events such as Rare Disease Day at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), co-led trans-NIH working groups, and designed government challenge competitions to spur innovation in clinical trial design and patient-centered research. Tisdale was instrumental in bringing together diverse stakeholders—including researchers, regulators, and nonprofit leaders—to align on shared goals and advance translational science efforts.

Her research has been published in Genetics in Medicine, BMJ Public Health, Value in Health, and the Orphanet Journal of Rare Diseases. Tisdale holds a master of public health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a BA in international relations from the University of Texas at Austin.
