Alan Schwartz

Mr. Schwartz joined Guggenheim Partners as Executive Chairman, a global, independent and privately held financial services firm. Alan is the former CEO of The Bear Stearns Companies. He also served as president/COO, and head of investment banking. He earned a B.A. in management science from Duke in 1972. He was a member of the Duke Board of Trustees and served as chairman of the Fuqua School of Business Board of Visitors. Alan is a member of the boards of the Robin Hood Foundation, Marvin and Palmer, NYU Langone, CHAI, Madison Square Garden and Nat’l Medal of Honor Museum. Mr. Schwartz is married and has five children.
