Nadab Akhtar
Nadab Akhtar serves on the FinTech Advisory Council at the Milken Institute and brings more than 15 years of experience as an entrepreneur and investment banker, including nearly a decade focused on corporate advisory and mergers and acquisitions transaction execution.
Akhtar is the founder and managing partner of Excite Capital, where he oversees the firm's trading strategy, capital formation efforts, and regulatory infrastructure. He manages the day-to-day operations of the general partner and leads the deployment of Excite's proprietary AI-driven models within its flagship investment vehicle, Excite Genesis LP.
Akhtar is also the cofounder and chief executive officer of Project LightShift, a stealth-mode deep technology company commercializing a room-temperature quantum photonic wave processor originally developed under multiyear US Department of Defense funding. Project LightShift owns full rights to a 16-asset intellectual property estate spanning quantum processor architecture, biofabricated manufacturing, and optimal control systems, and is currently raising institutional capital to execute its 36-month prototype development plan.
Additionally, Akhtar is a cofounder of CrowdPoint Technologies, Inc., a pioneer in distributed computing and intelligent control. The company delivers real-time orchestration across energy and data infrastructure through its Optimal Energy™ platform and Vogon cloud stack.
Previously, Akhtar served as chief operating officer of Nexus Health Capital, a boutique investment banking firm specializing in middle-market health-care services companies.
Akhtar is a TEDx speaker and an active speaker at conferences on artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and financial markets. He holds a BBA from the Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University, where he studied finance and chemistry.
