Based in Mexico City, Leandro Cuccioli is Senior Vice President of Strategy, Corporate Development, Investor Relations and Sustainability at Mercado Libre, the largest company in Latin America and one of the main tech companies worldwide. Before taking on this role, Mr. Cuccioli was one of the portfolio managers at British International Investment, or BII, in London. In that role, he oversaw a portfolio of $1 billion in private credit and equity investments in Africa and Asia in a wide array of sectors.
Before joining BII, Mr. Cuccioli was Deputy Minister of Finance of Argentina and the head of the tax authority in that country serving in the Cabinet of the President of Argentina for four years. Earlier in his career, Mr. Cuccioli spent a decade with The Capital Group doing private equity transactions in Latin America and with BP plc developing its wind power business in China.
Mr. Cuccioli holds an industrial engineering degree from ITBA in Argentina and an MBA from Stanford University.
