Dhvani Shah

Ms. Dhvani Shah, CFA serves as President and Chief Investment Officer of Third Lake Capital, a Tampa-based single-family office serving four generations of Wanek Family and connected to an active U.S. based global privately held operating company (Ashley Furniture Industries). Shah is responsible for the investment function and building a global, multi-generational investment portfolio. Prior to joining Third Lake Capital, Shah served as the first Chief Investment Officer of JM Family Enterprises, Inc., based in Deerfield Beach, FL. During the 5-year tenure, Shah oversaw the investment function of all investable assets of JM Family Enterprises across varying risk/return profile and time horizon. Shah is a seasoned institutional investment executive with 20+ years of experience across private equity funds, venture capital funds, hedge funds, real estate funds, co-investments, GP stakes, public equity and fixed income. She has a proven track record of strategic leadership and institutional excellence. Shah spent nearly a decade as Chief Investment Officer IMRF, a $44+ billion pension fund. Under Shah’s leadership, IMRF’s portfolio grew from $24 billion to $49 billion, while paying out $9 billion over a 9-year period. Earlier in her career, Shah held senior investment positions at the NYSTRS, served as VP at BofA, managing a $5.6 billion in alternative investments. Shah started her career at the Investment Office of Northwestern University. Shah holds CFA charter, an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BBA from Loyola University.
