Kimberly Smathers is Managing Director at ATI Advisory, where she advances service delivery transformation to promote the health and well-being of individuals with complex health and social needs across the lifespan. She identifies system change opportunities through research and data analysis combined with direct engagement of individuals with lived experience. Smathers has expertise in functional and social needs, Medicare-Medicaid integration, service-enriched housing, health equity, and trauma-informed care. Previously as Vice President at The Lewin Group, she partnered with CMMI to evaluate and support implementation of bundled payment models and led the Resources for Integrated Care technical assistance center where she identified and elevated promising practices for health plans serving the dual eligible population. She has also evaluated service-enriched housing in HUD properties and Medicaid waiver programs for individuals with serious mental illness. Smathers brings practical insights into serving complex populations from her prior role as Vice President of Business Development at an FQHC. She has an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
