Rahul is the co-founder and CTO at PhonePe. He is a serial entrepreneur in the consumer internet space and has built PhonePe into one of India’s fastest growing and largest fintech companies. He comes with over two decades of experience in consumer internet and enterprise software space. He has strong experience in building world-class tech platforms for web-scale, continuously scaling systems to deal with hyper-growth and evolving the processes and practices to meet the demands of a fast-growing organization. Prior to Co-founding PhonePe, Rahul was at Flipkart as Vice President of Engineering. He joined Flipkart in 2011 through the acquisition of Mallers Inc, which he co-founded in 2009. In his role at Flipkart, he was responsible for building the best-in-class supply chain management system for e-commerce covering order management, warehousing & transport management and eCommerce fulfillment innovation to create value for customers at Flipkart. Rahul holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Purdue University, USA and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Bombay (Mumbai) University, India (Gold Medallist).
