Jim Pittman is Executive Vice President and Global Head of Private Equity at BCI. Jim is a seasoned investor with over 30 years of experience across the finance and private equity industries and has held various senior roles within leading Canadian pension investment managers. Jim joined BCI in 2016 and has since grown the Private Equity program from C$7.3 billion in assets under management to C$24.8 billion, while building a talented team of over 45 investment and operating professionals. BCI Private Equity maintains an active governance approach across its Direct Investment portfolio. Jim serves as a Board Director for Hayfin Capital Management, BMS Group, and Tropicana Brands Group, allowing him to continue collaboration with management teams on strategic, operational, and financial decisions. In addition, Jim’s board involvement ensures alignment with BCI’s ESG principles, responsible investing approach, and commitment to diversity and inclusion. Jim’s focus is on growing the Private Equity program’s total fund exposure, increasing direct and co-sponsor deals, and extending the program’s global reach. BCI’s Private Equity program is a significant contributor to the corporation’s total managed assets of C$211.11 billion, making BCI one of Canada's largest institutional investors.
