
Katherine Sacks
Katherine Sacks, PhD, is an associate director in research at Milken Institute Health. Her research concerns health equity, health disparities, and the social determinants of health, focusing particularly on adverse maternal birth outcomes, as well as the effects of the social safety net on measures of population health. Prior to joining the Milken Institute, Dr. Sacks taught in the department of public policy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and in the department of political science and public policy at North Dakota State University. Dr. Sacks holds a PhD and an MA in public policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an MSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BA from Barnard College.
