Yun-Hee Kim is deputy editor of Washington Post Intelligence, where she helps lead and guide reporters, researchers and analysts to deliver sharp and insightful analysis for professional readers across four verticals: global security, tech & AI, energy & climate and healthcare. She also oversees two daily newsletters on AI and health care policy, and shapes content strategy and hosts editorial events.
Prior to this role, Yun-Hee was Technology Editor and San Francisco Bureau Chief, where she led award-winning teams of reporters, editors and columnists covering Silicon Valley’s tech giants from Apple to Google and Amazon, and artificial intelligence, personal technology, the future of work and internet culture. Her team’s work has been recognized by SABEW, Online News Association and Gerald Loeb Awards.
Before joining The Post in 2021 as personal technology editor, Yun-Hee spent more than two decades at The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones, where she reported and led business and financial news teams from New York, Hong Kong and Seoul. At the Journal, Yun-Hee also led an expansion into live tech events, serving as editorial director for the flagship WSJ Tech Live conference, and conducted onstage interviews with numerous tech executives and business leaders.
Born in Paris and raised in Paris, Seoul, Toronto and New York, Yun-Hee holds a Master of Science degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
