Walied Soliman is the Chair of Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP and co-founder of its globally acclaimed Special Situations team. He is widely regarded as one of the leading lawyers in his field internationally. Mr. Soliman has been involved in some of the most significant and complex M&A transactions and proxy battles in Canada, advising buyers and sellers, boards, hostile bidders, and shareholder activists. Mr. Soliman is listed among Canada’s top-performing M&A practitioners in the Lexpert Special Edition Finance and M&A 2025. He has been continuously recognized by the world’s leading legal rankings, including Chambers Global, International Financial Law Review 1000, Thomson Reuters Stand-out Lawyers, Best Lawyers in Canada, Chambers Canada, and Legal 500 Canada.
