David Adelman

Founder and CEO, Darco Capital; Co-Owner of the Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Devils
David J. Adelman is the CEO and founder of Darco Capital, a family office investment vehicle with over 90 venture and growth capital investments. A Philadelphia-based entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist, Adelman has spent nearly 30 years as CEO of Campus Apartments, transforming the college living experience across undergraduate, graduate, and faculty housing. Under his leadership, the firm has grown to more than $2 billion in assets under management across 18 states, housing 25,000+ students at 70+ colleges and universities. Adelman is also founder and vice chairman of Future Standard (formerly FS Investments), a global alternative asset manager with $90 billion AUM. He is a partner in Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment and serves as Chairman of its joint venture with Comcast to develop a $2 billion entertainment venue in Philadelphia — the future home of the 76ers, Flyers, and the city's new WNBA franchise. A committed civic leader, Adelman served eight years on the Penn Medicine Board of Trustees and as board co-chair of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia. He was formerly chairman of the Philadelphia Holocaust Remembrance Foundation. His honors include multiple "Executive of the Year" and "Entrepreneur of the Year" awards, recognition as one of Philadelphia's Most Influential People for three consecutive years, the 2025 ADL Americanism Award, and induction into the Multifamily Executive Hall of Fame.
