Courtney Russell McCrea

Courtney Russell McCrea is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Recast Capital. Recast Capital a platform that is both investing in and supporting the next generation of venture managers in the US. In addition to running a fund of funds, Recast runs a fiscally sponsored non-profit to support more managers. To date they have worked with 152 venture managers through this program. 

Prior to co-founding Recast, Courtney was a Managing Director of Weathergage Capital, a boutique fund of funds that provided its clients with access to premier venture capital partnerships. During her 10-year tenure at Weathergage, Courtney made commitments to 100 venture funds 

Courtney has an M.B.A., with honors, from the Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.
