Amanda Peterson Corio leads the Global Energy and Power Team at Google, directing the infrastructure and strategy required to power the company’s global operations. Over her decade-long tenure at Google, she has driven landmark energy transactions and developed industry standards for responsible energy growth, ensuring that Google supports a more affordable, reliable, and clean energy system around the world. Amanda’s team is recognized for designing innovative, scalable contract models that define how power is structured for large loads while accelerating the deployment of new energy technologies-such as advanced nuclear, enhanced geothermal, and long-duration energy storage. Through these efforts, Amanda enabled more than 20 GW of power development, spurring more than $7 billion in projects, and creating over 11,000 clean energy jobs worldwide.
A veteran of power development and finance, Amanda previously served as the Director of Investment Structuring at Macquarie Infrastructure Company (MIC)’s Renewable Energy subsidiary, where she was responsible for sourcing and structuring utility and distributed energy investments. Earlier in her career, Amanda led solar tax equity investments at Chevron Energy Solutions, developed utility-scale solar projects at Agile Energy, and provided public market advisory at Merrill Lynch & Company.
Amanda started her career at General Electric Energy Financial Services, where she managed power project finance. Amanda holds an MBA from The Wharton School of Business and a BA in Business Administration with Honors from Boston University’s School of Management.
