Sergio Gusmão

Senior Fellow, Milken Institute

Sergio Gusmão Suchodolski is the Special Envoy for the Finance in Common initiative. Sergio is also a Senior Fellow with the Milken Institute and has held senior positions in the public and private sectors, notably in New York, Brasilia and Geneva. He is currently an entrepreneur and private investor and also a Global Fellow at the Wilson Center and a Senior Fellow at the Brazilian Center for International Relations, CEBRI. Before that, he led as CEO of the Development Bank of São Paulo, Brazil; CEO of the Development Bank of Minas Gerais (BDMG), Brazil; and Director General, Strategy and Partnerships, at the New Development Bank in Shanghai, China. Sergio holds a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of São Paulo, a Master of Laws from Harvard Law School, and a master’s degree in international Trade from Sciences Po – Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris.
