Mikkel Bülow-Lehnsby

Co-Founder and Executive Chair, Urban Partners

As Executive Chairperson of the Board of Directors, Mikkel works with the Urban Partners leadership on the strategic direction of the company while supporting various strategic initiatives – all driven by the ambition making Urban Partners the most competent investor in the Urban Value chain driven by a purpose of creating green thriving cities. Mikkel co-founded the firm in 2005 and served as CEO until 2019. He is committed to prove that solving problems is a superior investment proposition and a firm believer in the commercial potential of transition capital. Mikkel plays an active role in the company’s advocacy work around promoting long-term stakeholder capitalism and has on behalf of the company initiated such initiatives as LOTUF and been chairing the Bloomberg New Economy, Dynamic Cities Coalition. Prior to establishing the firm, Mikkel spent ten years in various corporate and entrepreneurial positions in Copenhagen, London, Boston, and Santiago de Chile.
