Alex Witt

Anchor, MSNBC

Alex Witt hosts the MSNBC show “Alex Witt Reports" on Saturdays and Sundays, and often fill-in hosts weekday dayside hours. Since joining the network in 1999, Alex has anchored broadcasts across both dayside and primetime platforms and reported from the field during Presidential election campaigns and overseas, including major events in the British Royal Family. In the wake of the September 11th terror attacks on America, Witt broadcast from the World Trade Center. She welcomes discussions about equality for women, improving education, and gun control, while focusing on domestic and international politics. Alex was a Consultant on Aaron Sorkin’s HBO series “The Newsroom”. The Los Angeles native is a graduate of the University of Southern California and spends her free time skiing, mountain hiking and globe-trotting. She has a son and a daughter and splits her home time between Westchester County, NY and Los Angeles, CA.
