Eduardo della Maggiora is a Chilean engineer, triathlete and entrepreneur. Upon graduation as an industrial engineer in 2004, he began his career working at J.P. Morgan. In 2013 he quit and moved to Africa, to work as a volunteer teaching English and Mathematics to primary school students in Moshi, Tanzania. He is the founder and CEO of Betterfly. He is an Endeavor Entrepreneur, YPO board member and previous to Betterfly he co-founded Tyndall Group and Preserve in Community, and is the former CEO of the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games, the second largest international multi-sport event in the world after the Olympic Games. He is a two-time world champion runner-up in his category at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships, as well as a three-time finisher of the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii. In 2018 he finished Ironman Hawaii in 8 hours and 51minutes becoming the fastest non-professional athlete in Latin American ever to finish this race. In 2014 he was named one of Chile's "100 leaders under 35" by El Mercurio, in 2020 he was named "Entrepreneur of the Year 2019" by UDD, in 2021 he was recognized among the 500 most influential people in Latin America by Bloomberg and in 2022 he was awarded "Entrepreneur of the Year" by Ernst & Young.
