Jayne Plunkett is Swiss Re's Regional President and Chief Executive Officer Asia, a role she has held since 2016. She is also a member of Swiss Re's Group Executive Committee and sits on the board of Swiss Re Asia Limited. Jayne leads over 1,900 employees in eight markets across Asia, a region now responsible for around 50% of Swiss Re's overall growth. She joined Swiss Re in 2006 as Managing Director and Head of Property & Casualty Underwriting, Regional Accounts after the firm acquired GE Insurance Solutions. In 2012, she moved to Hong Kong as Managing Director and Head of Casualty Underwriting for Asia. Before assuming her current role, Ms. Plunkett was Global Division Head of Casualty Reinsurance where she focused on growing and developing Swiss Re's response to technological advancement, and changing consumer and client behavior. She began her career at John Deere Insurance Company in 1992 and seven years later, joined GE Insurance Solutions. Ms. Plunkett is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. She was also named a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum in 2010.
