MBA's President and CEO Bob Broeksmit is a senior finance executive with more than 30 years in the mortgage sector. He has directed all aspects of lending activities, including marketing, sales, operations, secondary marketing, loan servicing, and default management. Bob came to MBA from Treliant, where he was head of the firm's mortgage litigation support service area and oversaw its executive office. He has held several senior leadership positions, including Executive Vice President at Chevy Chase Bank and President of its B.F. Saul Mortgage Company subsidiary. He was also a Vice President at Prudential Home Mortgage. Before becoming CEO in 2018, he had been an active member of MBA since the 1980s. He served as Chairman of the Residential Board of Governors and has been a member of the MBA Board of Directors. Bob participated in the investment committee, advocacy, MAA, and MORPAC, and he is currently on the Board of the Opens Doors Foundation. Bob achieved his Certified Mortgage Banker designation in 2005.
