Dr. Kalahn Taylor-Clark, PhD, MPH is Vice President and Head of Social Impact and Sustainability at Merck, where she leads global strategy for sustainability, impact investing, and mission-aligned corporate initiatives. Her portfolio includes sustainability consulting and reporting, the Merck Foundation, Merck for Mothers, the Mectizan Donation Program, the U.S. Patient Assistance Program, employee giving efforts, and the Merck Impact Venture Fund. Through these efforts, she works to advance systems-level approaches to improve global access to health and sustainability outcomes. With nearly two decades of experience, Dr. Taylor-Clark has led innovative public health and equity strategies across industry, academia, nonprofits, and policy.
Prior to joining Merck, she was VP and Head of Strategic Partnerships and Innovation at Myovant Sciences, where she led advocacy and equity-centered digital innovation strategies in women’s health and prostate cancer. From 2015 to 2021, she held senior leadership roles at Sanofi, starting as Associate Vice President of U.S. Cardiometabolic Public Affairs and Patient Advocacy, and later serving as Vice President and Global Head of Patient Centered Outcomes and Innovation. Dr. Taylor-Clark holds a BA in International Relations from Tufts University, an MPH from Tufts School of Medicine, and a PhD in Health Policy from Harvard University. She serves on Tufts’ Board of Trustees and previously chaired the Board at the Prevention Institute. She lives in Arlington, VA with her son, Dashiell, and their two beloved dogs.
