Jessie Schutt-Aine serves as Executive Director of the Clara Lionel Foundation, Rihanna's foundation dedicated to building thriving and resilient communities across the Caribbean, U.S. South, and Africa. Jessie brings over 25 years of experience driving change in global health and social justice through her work across the UN system and major international NGOs. She previously served as Chief of Equity, Gender and Cultural Diversity at the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization, where she also ran WHO's Caribbean program. Her career has taken her through senior roles at UNAIDS, the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria, and the International Planned Parenthood Federation—always focused on making health equity a reality worldwide. She also gives back through volunteer work with Girls With Impact and the Fund II Foundation's Black Maternal Health Task Group. Jessie earned her master's degrees in Public Health and International Affairs from Columbia University and her BA in Economics and French from the University of Virginia. Having lived and worked everywhere from the Caribbean to Africa, Europe, and the U.S., she brings a global perspective to building programs that create real change in communities.
