Lee, Cheng

Psychiatrist, Senior Consultant, and Clinical Director, Office of Population Health, IMH

Dr. Lee joined the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) in 1994. He is currently a Psychiatrist and Senior Consultant as well as the Clinical Director at the Office of Population Health (OPH). He held multiple administrative appointments over the years, including the Programme Director of National Addictions Management Service (NAMS) from 2017 to 2024. Dr. Lee is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and an Adjunct Assistant Professor and Clinical Senior Lecturer at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He is also an academic board member for the Executive Counselling & Training Academy (ECTA). Dr Lee is currently the President of the Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH) and was the immediate past President of the Silver Ribbon Singapore (SRS). He is also a board of director of Impart and We Care Community Services. He is currently a member of the Steering Committee for Beyond The Label 2.0 and a member of the Interagency Taskforce on Mental Health & Well-being. He is also a member of MigrantWell Singapore Expert Panel since July 2024. Dr Lee received the Ministry of Health/National Healthcare Group Distinguished Senior Clinician Award in 2021. He also received the Commendation Medal (Covid-19) in 2022 and the National Day Long Service Award in 2020 and the Public Administration Medal (Bronze) in 2019. He received the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) 5 years Long Service Award in 2021 and the ‘Friends. of MSF’ award in 2017.
