Fred Romijnsen serves as Executive Vice President Aegon N.V./Global Head of Financial Institutions, a position that he has held since 2011. In this role, he is responsible for leading and supporting global key growth initiatives among Aegon's business and country units and developing new opportunities with the firms external partners. He reports directly to the Group CEO. Prior to his current role, he served as EVP of Global Strategic Initiatives from 2007 to 2011. Since joining Aegon in 1991, Fred has been CFO of various Aegon units, CEO of the retirement business in The Netherlands, led marketing, sales, corporate affairs, and investor relations-related functions. Fred is actively involved in the World Economic Forum. He currently resides in the Netherlands.
