Kirsten Fontenrose

Kirsten Fontenrose, President of Red Six International, advises nations on defeating unmanned threats to citizens and infrastructure. Kirsten also advises a private company in the space sector focused on using analysis from imagery to advance prosperity and security. Kirsten is a Nonresident Senior Fellow with the Atlantic Council, where she directed the Council’s Scowcroft Middle East Security Initiative until joining the private sector in December 2021. Kirsten spent 2018 at the White House as Senior Director at the U.S. National Security Council for U.S. policy in nations of the Middle East. She has over twenty years of experience working with the national security apparatuses of nations in the Middle East and Africa from positions within the US Department of Defense, Department of State, White House, private industry, and non-profit sector. Kirsten has lived and traveled extensively in the Middle East. She holds a BA from the College of William and Mary with a year and a half spent in Syria and Egypt, an MA from Indiana University, and an MBA (GMP) from Harvard Business School. She is quoted regularly in the international media on topics related to national security and geopolitical strategy.
