A seasoned journalist, political analyst and essayist, Joseph Williams is Managing Director for Freedom Forum’s Free Press initiative, which includes the Chips Quinn Scholars, the Free Spirit and Power Shift/Workplace Integrity programs. As a reporter and writer, Williams has been published in a wide range of publications, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, Politico, The Boston Globe, The Atlantic, and US News & World Report. Before arriving at Freedom Forum, Williams was senior managing editor for Color Of Change, a social justice organization. He was responsible for setting up a newsroom, producing a monthly member newsletter and editing all of the organization’s external communications. A California native, Williams is a graduate of the University Of Richmond and a former Nieman Fellow at Harvard University.
