Forex Markets Specialist, Central Bank of Kenya; IFC-Milken Institute Scholar
Collins Bii

Collins has eight years of experience in research, investments and financial markets analysis across both public and private sectors in Africa and in the US. He is currently a forex markets specialist at the Central Bank of Kenya monitoring Kenya’s forex operations and using this data to formulate and implement appropriate foreign exchange and monetary policies. 

Prior to this, he worked as a proprietary futures trader analysing and executing trades electronically on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, the London Metals Exchange, and Chicago Board of Trade.

Collins holds a Bachelor of Business Science degree in Financial Economics from Strathmore University and a Graduate Diploma in Capital Markets from the George Washington University. He is a Certified Investments and Financial Analyst (Kenya) and currently a CFA Level II candidate.

As part of the IFC-Milken Institute Capital Markets Program, Collins completed his internship as a quantitative hedge fund researcher with WorldQuant, LLC. He also formulated Kenya’s user acquisition strategy for the company’s BRAIN platform.
