Barbara Jesuele is the Deputy Chief Investment Officer of the J. Paul Getty Trust, an operating foundation with total investable assets of $8.5 billion. Barbara supports the CIO on developing long-term strategic plans for the Getty’s investment program. She is also responsible for the Public Equity and the Real Assets portfolios. Barbara joined the Getty Trust in 2002 as a Senior Investment Analyst focused on Private Equity. She assumed responsibility of the Real Assets portfolio in 2008, and Public Equity in 2020. Prior to the Getty, Barbara started her career at HypoVereinsbank (UniCredit) in Munich, Germany as a credit analyst with the Financial Institutions Group focused on Asia. Barbara is part of Getty’s Environmental Sustainability Working Group and actively works on DEAI initiatives within the Getty as well as broadly in the investment management industry. Barbara studied International Economic Relations at the University of Hamburg, Germany and holds a B.A. in Management Economics from the Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines.
