Angela Homsi

Angela Homsi is a sustainable tech investor and entrepreneur, building and growing solutions driving systemic change towards a clean, inclusive and safer world. She is Founder and President at Ignite Solar (www.ignite.solar), chairwoman at Ignite Investments, and on the board of multiple sustainable tech startups, impact funds' investment committee and non-profit boards. Ignite is developing and scaling innovations solving last-mile access to clean power, internet, and climate-tech serving consumers, medical, education and agri markets - thanks to its decentralised digitised infra-tech platform. With presence across Africa, the UAE, Israel, and the US, and with 2.5 millions people using Ignite's life-enabling solutions, our vision is to leave no one behind in having access to foundational clean infrastructure. Angela also invests in tech startups finding solutions to sustainable challenges in emerging markets and sits on several tech and sustainability boards. Previously, she was a macro trader at Goldman Sachs, and a sustainable investor at Generation IM under VP Al Gore's chairmanship. She also worked on post-conflict economic and financial solutions together with Sir Ronald Cohen. In her non-for-profit work, Angela is the chair of Seeds of Peace Global Leadership Council and was a founding board member of Harvard’s Negotiation Strategies Institute. She is actively involved in Track II and impact-innovation initiatives. She was an awarded Chair of YPO Global Diplomacy Network, and is also a contributor, lecturer and speaker in multiple universities and institutions globally, such as Technion, Tel Aviv university, New York University, University of Galilee, TEDX, Milken, AIM, Globes, I24 News, Ynet News, and more. Angela is Lebanese, Egyptian, Israeli and lives in Abu Dhabi. She is a mathematician and economics scholar, and a Singularity University Executive Graduate. She speaks French, English, Spanish, some Arabic and Hebrew.
