Jalak Jobanputra

Jalak Jobanputra is a prominent figure in venture capital, particularly known for her early investments in emerging technologies like crypto assets, AI, IoT, and blockchain. In 2014, she founded Future\Perfect Ventures (FPV), one of the first VC funds to focus on nascent blockchain tech, backing over 50 global companies including Blockchain.com, Current, and Blockstream. Her accolades include recognition as one of Institutional Investor's Most Powerful Fintech Dealmakers and Microsoft's VC Trailblazer Award in 2018, cementing her influence in the blockchain space. Jobanputra is a vocal advocate for diversity and inclusion in tech. She established Collective Future in 2018 to promote diversity within the blockchain sector. Prior to FPV, she held leadership positions at Omidyar Network and the NYC Investment Fund, supporting tech entrepreneurs and initiatives like NYCSeed and the Fintech Innovation Lab. With a background at New Venture Partners and Intel Capital, she brings extensive experience to her investments. Educationally, Jobanputra holds degrees from The Wharton School and the University of Pennsylvania, including an MBA from Kellogg. She actively shares insights at global conferences and media platforms like Milken Global Conference, CNBC, and Bloomberg, while lecturing at NYU and The Wharton School. Her board affiliations include roles at The Center for an Urban Future, L’oreal’s Women in Digital initiative, and positions as Independent Director at Signature Bank and Board Trustee at Achievement First Charter School in Bushwick.
