With international economic and political disruptions affecting jurisdictional-led capital deployment strategies, attention is now focused on building new community-led and investor-driven efforts to accelerate scale-up of an investable project pipeline by overcoming de-risking realities, embracing innovation, and establishing new markets from the bottom up. COP30 in Brazil represents a historic opportunity, as the host nation is both a leading fuels exporter and the largest ecosystem for natural capital in the world. This panel will focus on the real chance presented by COP30 to lift up action-oriented partnerships and voices from the Global South, accelerate capital to frontline communities, and seed economic sustainability strategies that can support deployment success in other regions beyond 2025.
