Part 2: What's Next for Oceans?

-

Climate change and human activity threaten ocean environments on multiple fronts. But oceans are often sidelined in philanthropic portfolios, both because most ocean areas are international waters, and because it is often unclear how to invest in ocean-related projects in ways that will mobilize philanthropic capital. Fortunately, new, innovative initiatives are helping to address ocean conservation issues, showing that philanthropic capital can provide crucial support to these efforts. This panel will explore emerging methodologies that can advance ocean conservation and sustainability and inspire the next generation of marine explorers, entrepreneurs, and advocates.
