Future of Health Summit 2026

Closing Plenary | Can the Future of Health Be Affordable?

-

People are living longer, medical advances are accelerating, and the public’s expectations for health continue to rise. Meanwhile, chronic diseases, aging populations, workforce shortages, and new technologies are placing a growing financial burden on health systems and patients. As a result, health-care is consuming a growing share of household budgets, employer costs, and government expenditures around the world. The challenge is no longer simply how to pay for health care, but how to create a future where better health is both achievable and economically sustainable. How do we build a future where better health outcomes and economic sustainability aren't in tension, but reinforce each other?
