Sentiment is growing among leaders in sports and entertainment industries that they could contribute more to underserved communities through alternative financing such as FinTech, Web 3.0, and Venture Capital. The last two years have planted seeds of industry disruption that sets a dynamic new growth horizon for sports and entertainment. Owners, C-suite executives, and talent are seeking guidance to direct their efforts. Entertainment leaders, closer to audiences, are evaluating how traditional (real estate, banking) and innovative (Fintech, crypto) financial tools can effect change. These organizations have a rare opportunity to drive change by engaging specific financial services groups in devising and implementing creative community programs. In this public session, panelists will discuss drawing on new resources to engage sports and industry in providing opportunities for underserved communities, while meeting challenges of equity and inclusion.
