Gaby Alvarado is a senior associate at Milken Institute Strategic Philanthropy, where she plays a key role in special projects, department coordination, and supporting leadership and their teams. With a background spanning construction, private equity, and the nonprofit sector, she brings a unique blend of operational insight, strategic thinking, and people-centered support to her work.
Throughout her time at the Milken Institute, Alvarado has developed a deep understanding of institutional policies, leadership vision, and cross-functional collaboration. She is known for her proactive mindset, consistently seeking out opportunities to improve systems and address challenges before they arise. Her passion for learning and curiosity about the principles behind processes and structures drive her to continuously enhance organizational effectiveness.
Before joining the Institute, Alvarado worked in New York City at SK Capital Partners, a private equity firm, where she supported managing partners and directors. She also lived in Sydney, Australia, where she worked at Hanson, a leader in building and construction materials, gaining exposure to world-class technologies and service platforms.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Phoenix.
