Sung Kim

As President for Strategic Planning at Hyundai Motor Group (HMG), Sung Kim oversees the group’s global affairs, government relations, PR & communications, and business intelligence efforts. Prior to joining HMG, Sung Kim served as U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, the Philippines, and Indonesia.  He also led U.S. diplomatic efforts on North Korea as Special Representative for the DPRK and Special Envoy for the Six Party Talks.  Before his career in foreign affairs, he served as a public prosecutor in Los Angeles, California.
