Sophia Castello Branco Silva is a Senior Analyst specializing in derivatives and financial market infrastructure at B3 S.A. – Brasil, Bolsa, Balcão, one of the world’s largest integrated exchange groups. Her work focuses on clearing, settlement, and post-trade processes, with an emphasis on risk management and operational efficiency. She works closely with market participants across a range of derivative products, supporting the development and functioning of post-trade infrastructure and contributing to the stability of Brazil’s capital markets. Sophia is currently pursuing graduate studies in capital markets at Georgetown University and is completing an internship in risk management at the International Finance Corporation.

Through both experiences, she is deepening her understanding of financial systems, risk frameworks, the development of financial products, and the role of infrastructure in market development. Her interests include market structure, regulation, and the practical challenges of strengthening financial systems in emerging markets.
