Shirline Patiat is a seasoned financial markets professional with over ten years of experience spanning debt management, banking operations, risk management, and stakeholder engagement, with a growing specialization in sustainable and climate finance. She has built a strong career within central banking, where her work has focused on debt management operations, investor engagement, regulatory compliance, and data driven decision making. In her current role as a Financial Markets (Debt Division) Analyst, Shirline oversees investor account systems, contributes to market operations and policy working groups, and develops operational frameworks, manuals, and reporting tools that support efficient and transparent market functioning. She has led investor engagement initiatives that significantly increased market participation and regularly facilitates internal training and technical workshops.
Shirline also contributes to climate finance initiatives through research . She has been involved in the review of the Kenya green finance taxonomy, climate risk disclosures, and sustainability linked frameworks. She is currently completing the IFC–Milken Institute Capital Markets Program at Georgetown University and is undertaking an internship with the World Bank Group, supporting the Climate Business area.
