Rafael Segrera

Rafael Segrera is a C-Level executive with a global vision and the ability to identify local issues and address them innovatively. A citizen of the world, Segrera has accumulated experiences in different locations, such as Venezuela (his birthplace), Canada, France, China, and more recently, Brazil (his current residence), creating a multicultural mindset. Segrera has been part of Schneider Electric's history for almost 30 years. Throughout this period, he has held various leadership positions in the company's corporate and operational areas. In October 2018, he was appointed President of Schneider for South America. Business-oriented, Segrera works to contribute to a more sustainable world without contradictions between these two ideals. His main mission is to make a real positive impact on society. One of Segrera's main focuses is Electricity 4.0, which applies technology and digitalization to the more efficient - and clean - management of energy resources. He advocates for environmental activism as a strategy for positive business impact to generate more efficiency, to produce more with less, to have the ability to integrate and make faster decisions, to attract more talent seeking purpose-driven companies that bring benefits to everyone, including the planet. Segrera has become an active and inspiring leader in the corporate environment in favor of diversity, seeking gender balance in his direct team. He currently sits on the company's global board of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Rafael holds a degree in Business Administration and has a specialization in Management. He is a proponent of lifelong learning.
