Patrick Flood

CEO and Founder, Owners in Honor

Patrick M. Flood is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Owners in Honor, a national nonprofit organization based in Houston, Texas, that helps Veterans and Military Families acquire and operate, grow, and exit American small businesses through Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition. A decorated U.S. Army Special Forces officer (Green Beret), Patrick served for twenty-two years in operational, advisory, and strategic leadership roles across Afghanistan, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East. He served as a Special Operations Advisor to the U.S. Ambassador to Peru and later directed elements of the $1.6 billion U.S. Counter-Transnational Organized Crime Strategy, supporting U.S. security initiatives across multiple regions.

Following military service, Patrick served as a director at Andersen Tax and Consulting and later founded Owners in Honor to expand pathways for veterans to become small business owners. Patrick holds an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and degrees from the Naval Postgraduate School, the Defense Language Institute, and George Washington University.

He is a recipient of numerous military decorations, including the Bronze Star for Valor and the Purple Heart, and has been recognized by the George W. Bush Institute Stand To Veteran Leadership Program and the Impact a Hero Hall of Fame. Patrick resides in Houston, Texas, with his son, Leander.
