Nancy Brown

CEO, American Heart Association
Nancy Brown has served as the CEO of the American Heart Association since 2008. Under her leadership, the Association has become a global authority on cardiovascular and brain health as well as overall health and well-being. With a global presence in more than 100 countries and $1.2 billion in annual revenue, the Association is a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives. Nancy forges powerful partnerships—together with 35 million volunteers, supporters and staff—to champion quality health care for all at the intersection of science, technology and public policy on behalf of patients and their families. The Association has invested $6.1 billion since 1949 to accelerate scientific discoveries in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular care and drive innovation. Since 2013, Nancy has partnered with Fortune 500 CEOs through the American Heart Association CEO Roundtable to improve the health and well-being of employees, families and communities. Nancy serves on several global leadership councils, including The Wall Street Journal and CNBC CEO Councils as well as the Yale CEO Summit. She also holds key leadership roles in the World Economic Forum, serving as a member and past co-chair of the Health & Healthcare Governors Community and executive board member of the Global Coalition for Value in Healthcare.
